Walk and Talk

There are just 2 walks left from the original programme of 12. We've had great fun and the walks have been very well attended. Regular walks are now being arranged from East Linton, Gullane and North Berwick libraries, and hopefully some other branches will be able to organise their own series of walks. Email Trina Gavan, if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.
The next couple of walks will last about an hour, and will be on a variety of surfaces, some quite rough. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear reasonably sturdy footwear. After the walks we'll have light refreshments in the library and have a chat about books, reading and anything else that takes our fancy!
Please note that these walks are for adults only.
For more information and to book your place, contact the appropriate library

Saturday 19th August
Join Peter Kerr, popular and successful Scottish author on this walk in an area steeped in history. Let’s hope for good weather – the library is very small so we may have to take our coffee outside!
Thursday 24th August
Avril McKenzie is our Ageing well coordinator but will walk and talk about the benefits and fun of walking for all ages

Learning how to play a musical instrument is great fun and has a number of proven benefits: increases memory capacity, fosters self-expression, relieves stress, sharpens concentration and boosts your listening skills. However, one of the main barriers for people is the high cost of private lessons.

It offers users everything they need for musical and artistic instruction - from introductory to advanced performance.
