Prestonpans Library is looking for members for a new adult book group. The group will meet on a Monday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm in the library. The books on this year's reading list range from Peter May's Black House which centres around a brutal killing on the Isle of Lewis to Claire Tomalin's biography of Charles Dickens. So if you are looking for something different to read or want to chat about books with like minded people over a coffee why not sign up? New Dunbar Library now open!

Dunbar Library has now re-opened in the Bleachingfield Centre, almost directly across the road from its old site. The Library is fabulous - light, spacious and creatively designed. There is  a large children's library and a dedicated teenage area with increased space to display books, DVDs and music for customers of all ages.

The connection with the old library will not be lost as rooms within the building will still be called the Gibb Room and the Stevenson Room. The Stevenson Room has been designed for quiet study and is home to Dunbar's local history collection and reference section. The Gibb Room will have the same function as before with space for events such as Bookbug Sessions, author visits and reading and writing group activities. There are also additional PCs which are freely available to the public, including a computer suite with 10 PCs and wi-fi available throughout the library.

But rather than take our word for it why not pop down to Countess Crescent and see for yourself!
